EARLY MORNING DEER

The early over-cast light seems to wash-out the colouring. You can see by the shifting ears she depends on listening rather than looking. Her eyes may be focused on me but her ears were continually monitoring elsewhere.
These should be good subjects for drawing deer heads and foreshortening the body.

Some whiskers showing. See how the eye stands out from the skull.

Whiskers more prominent.

A little more colour.

Ear forward.

Full body.

More of its back.

Interesting pose for line drawing of body.
