ONE COOL CUSTOMER

Ruby throat hummingbird arrived May 8th, 2015.

This morning, May 12th, we awoke to snow covered ground. It has since melted and the hummingbird has continued to come to the feeder so it survived just fine.

EARLY MORNING DEER

The early over-cast light seems to wash-out the colouring. You can see by the shifting ears she depends on listening rather than looking. Her eyes may be focused on me but her ears were continually monitoring elsewhere.
These should be good subjects for drawing deer heads and foreshortening the body.
