  1. Would love to see more pictures of Cameron Falls, Alexander, Pine Portage and Virgin Falls (if any still exist)

  2. If you go over to the Nipigon Museum Blog I have put up some Cameron Falls photos from the twenties and thirties. When we opened the Nipigon Museum in 1973 Cameron Falls the community had just been dismantled. Most of their houses came down the highway to Nipigon lots Some with their retired owners but most sold and their owners moved on to other Hydro jobs. Ontario Hydro has a library/archive in Toronto. They sent me a scattering of old documents and some photos in the mid 70's but still in the "old" days so we don't have much in the 60's about the community other than we have some interviews. I'll sort through them for some descriptions.

  3. I'm thinking someone in my family may have some pictures of the area - I know my Grandfather briefly worked up there in the 1950's. I've been meaning to go back that way to get a few pictures of the ruins of the Virgin Falls Dam, but from what I remember it's a pretty long boat ride from Pine Portgage.
