EASTER MORNING 2013

The snow covered the trees until the wind got up.

Ruffed Grouse can fly, this one preferred swimming.

This Redpoll found a branch to sit on.

When the Blue Jay landed it showered snow from the limbs.

PASSING THROUGH, the Lynx again

Nice Sunny Morning For a Stroll

Morning Lynx, March 28, 2013

Very  intent on looking in that direction as it walked.

Showing off his big foot.

I'm getting a lot of back views.

I was hoping it would just circle around.

The Lynx just kept on into the bush.
Shortly after the neighbour's dog came sniffing around
so that was the end of my Lynx watch.

This fellow is happy with that.

THE SHRIKE OF MARCH

Northern Shrike
March 12, 2013

With all the new snow hanging around it was hard to pick the Shrike out.

Then it changed trees and I changed windows.

It stayed in this tree for over half an hour. I got tired waiting for it to move.
The Chickadees came out to the feeders again, too.

HOT SUNSHINE ON COLD SNOW

You want to say Merry Christmas.
Beautiful icicles.

ANOTHER POSTCARD

Another Post Card but this time it is one that you send.

From Real Tree Hugger to Premier Kathleen Wynne

The Real Tree Hugger Blog/Site is http://realtreehugger.wordpress.com

From the Post Card:
"A REAL Tree-Hugger knows that sustainable forestry:
Renews and replenishes the ecosystem; promotes
Economic growth;
Accumulates more carbon; and is the
Lifeblood of communities!"

The back is a letter to Premier Wynne:

"In recent years we have seen increasing opposition to forestry activities and a related reduction of available fibre under the guise of environmental protection, with little consideration of the economic and social needs of our communities.  Recent activities by some environmental groups appear to assign a higher value to the environment than they do to economic and social development needs."

"To ensure a balanced approach, I call on the Government of Ontario to conduct transparent socio-economic impact assessments prior to decisions being made on all new or revised legislation, regulations and policies that may impact forestry."

Then you sign your name and Postal Code and mail it to
